Add post-processing capabilities or other rules that users can set when creating workouts

For example:

  1. engaging motivational and or educational instructions to workouts

  2. break up longer workout blocks into smaller ones. For example, if there’s a 20 minute threshold block, I’d like to break it up into four 5-minute blocks. I’m not trying to add rest between them, it’s just that Zwift awards XP based on the full completion of a block. So if I’m short on time and I do 15 minutes of a 20 minute block but then have to skip the rest of it, I get zero XP.

I 10000% support this thinking, it exists on other platforms and keeps me engaged especially inside of challenging workouts, It would really be good to be able to add this to the suite … I personally am now training for a 3 days stage race and this means that during the week im doing at least 4 hours on the bike indoors and this becomes a really challenging situation, any motivation, information or other info would be like ‘having a coach’ which is the ultimate objective isnt it !

re engaging instructions: another user added this:

Whenever I am facing a particularly challenging workout, I often ask LeCoach to guide me through the best approach to completing the workout successfully. The response usually takes the form of a suggested cadence, a position on the bike (seated, hands relaxed or standing) or a mental trick to break the harder segments into discrete elements that you tick off as you work through it.

It would be great if there was an option on a workout to add coaching notes that, in essence, provide this guidance as text that appears on-screen before, during or after particularly challenging elements of a workout.

Even during long Z2 segment, it might be quite interesting to have the science behind the efforts displayed, particularly in the context of the overall training plan so that it's not just the same information displayed in each Z2 effort.

However, for me, I would probably be most likely to activate coaching notes on the challenging workouts. For example, today I completed a workout that contained 3x 1 minute efforts at 170% FTP followed by 2 minute rests. Prior to starting the workout, I had asked LeCoach how best to approach these efforts, it suggested keeping a high cadence (in my case, 105rpm) and trying to hold it above 90rpm through to the end, only standing and grinding if I was unable to hold the cadence above 90rpm. It also suggested that I try to sit relaxed on the bike with my hands loose on the hoods. During the 2 minute recovery periods, it suggested that I try to take deep breaths to replenish oxygen reserves and bring my heart rate down. It would have been great if I could have seen these performance notes on-screen prior to starting the efforts and also the best way to recover during the rest intervals (along with some motivational encouragement and congratulations once they were completed).

So, in summary, if possible, I would like to suggest the option of adding coaching notes to individual workouts that provide guidance, encouragement, congratulations and the science behind individual segments or the workout as a whole.

Please make it an opt-in thing. I personally wouldn’t want this.
